Local Coaching Journal

Editorial policy

Local Coaching Journal aims to make coaching practice easier to examine, not to present every idea as settled or universal. Our articles should be clear about what they can and cannot establish.

Accuracy and scope

We check wording, context and the strength of claims before publication. When an idea is contested or depends on circumstances, we say so. Articles offer general editorial information, not professional supervision, therapy or a substitute for appropriate training and support.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance and clarity. Paid, sponsored or partner material is labelled plainly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and partners do not receive control of unrelated editorial decisions.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error, misleading wording or an unclear boundary, contact us with the article title and the point at issue. We review credible corrections and update material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers where appropriate.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with AI tools. Illustrations are not evidence for an article's claims; we aim to keep them clearly illustrative and to avoid presenting invented scenes as documentary records.

The working idea

A conversation is not a script.

Coaching has useful structures, but people are not worksheets. We look at the choices behind a conversation and leave room for context, uncertainty and a change of plan.
